What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Miyuki-dori Shopping Street is praised for its convenience, directly connecting to JR Himeji Station and offering a pleasant, covered shopping experience suitable for all weather. Visitors appreciate the variety of shops, reasonable prices, and the availability of local food options, making it a great spot for both shopping and dining. Some find it a bit typical compared to larger cities, and certain sections can be deserted, but its overall accessibility and proximity to Himeji Castle are major draws.
"This is probably the only long shopping street that is directly linked to the JR Himeji station with covered walkways and even if it rains, you can still walk there "dry". Very nice, bright and clean shopping streets with many to see, from lifestyle products like fashion to shoes, bags, drug stores, eateries, cafes, florist etc, just to name a few.
Like the other shopping streets, this one is also divided into several sections. The first few sections had the most to see and most crowded (since they are near the train stations) and as you walk further down, less crowded and more quiet and low in human traffic. But the good thing is that towards to end of the shopping street, you will reach the Himeji Castle Park and with another 300-500m, you will reach the Castle!
Unfortunately on the day of our visit, it was raining heavily, and we couldn't visit the Castle and also it's closed to the time when it ceased operations. So we spent our time shopping here and bought quite a lot of things. Prices were generally cheap/reasonable.
This is a good place to visit and of course, shop and eat!"

"A rather typical shopping district compared to the ones in Osaka.
