🇯🇵Japan - I went to Masutomi Onsen (Hot Spring) in Yamanashi Prefecture last weekend. It contains radium, which is very rare, and it is a very valuable hot spring. This radium hot spring activates cells, increases natural healing power, and can be expected to be effective against various diseases. The surrounding nature was very beautiful and the walk felt good. Location👉 #masutomionsen My profi...

Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about Masutomi Onsen for its stunning panoramic views, especially at sunset, and its incredibly affordable entry fee. The rare radium-infused waters are a unique draw, and the on-site cafe is a pleasant surprise. While it's a local favorite and requires full nudity in gender-segregated baths, the overall experience is highly praised for its value and natural beauty.

"Two large indoor pools for medium and high heat, and two large outdoor pools similarly. Outdoor pools have nice views of the city!

Food at the cafe was delicious!"

"This is definately a place for the locals! It took a while for us to drive up here but the view was so worth it! The ladies hot spring looked outwards towards the whole city, and if you are here in the sunset you might catch the sun setting along the mountains! We saw a beautiful pink sunset! Oh and remember to bring a towel as towels are 100 yen and face towels are 50 yen."

Ann Lynn Tan

"Absolutely fantastic onsen, there are two indoor baths and two outdoor that have an extraordinary view of the basin and the surrounding mountains. You can relax and take in the view, especially later at night since the facilities do not close until 23:00. Last entry is 22:30, but I think that is too short of time to do much.

The hot spring is quite popular, but thankfully the locker room, showers, and baths are all quite spacious so you will not feel crowded. The facilities have several amenities including massages, a sauna, a restaurant, and rest area. For about 700¥ you will really get your moneys worth."
