Reviews Summary

Niyathiya Cave is praised for its spaciousness, cleanliness, and historical significance as both a spiritual site and a wartime shelter. Visitors appreciate the unique ocean views through its multiple openings. However, the challenging access paths and lack of nearby amenities are noted drawbacks.

"Being half Iejimanchu I have been here many times. Before my sister and I was born they used to have a stone in the cave and when the pregnant woman picked it up if it was heavy if you were having a boy and it would feel lighter if you were having a daughter. Both times it was accurate for our family. Later on some tourists took the stone. Now it is replaced with stones with-a chain on it cuz someone will steal it again even though it’s just a prop. Lots of stories about this place from the locals and from some military personnel."

"Such a fascinating cave to visit! There is signage at the entrance giving information about the cave. There are several extensions of this cave to explore thru- go during low tide to explore further along the coast. Bathrooms on site."

Brandy Roberts

"This cave is very nice and spacious. I loved how it contained lots of history in it and that it's the cleanest cave I have been to. It's super big and the name for the cave is accurate meaning it has thousands of people in the cave. There are multiple openings that connect to the ocean. There are good views of the cave and the ocean overall. Love it!"
