Reviews Summary

Visitors find Oyama Koma Sando to be a charming and atmospheric street leading to the cable car, filled with traditional shops and restaurants. The unique tofu cuisine is a highlight, though the climb up the steps can be challenging for some. Many appreciate the opportunity to find local souvenirs and enjoy sweet treats.

"There's a very good ice cream vendor (I visited twice, that's what saved me from overheating), most of the vendors are sweet older locals. The street is lined with vendors selling sweets and souvenirs. I found a nice treasure, some Junmai sake bring back home. I also had to grab one of the famous spinning tops for my daughter.

I went to this restaurant very close to the cable car entrance. They offered this amazing 9 course tofu set for about ¥4,000 ($25). I underestimated how much food was going to come out. I thought that well it's tofu so it should be light enough to finish. I couldn't finish it, but I wanted to because everything was so unique and delicious. I didn’t know that you could make tofu so many different ways."
