Reviews Summary

Visitors find Akatsuka Botanical Garden to be a peaceful and well-maintained green space, especially appreciated for its free admission and accessible paths. While some note it's not the most impressive garden, it's considered a lovely spot for relaxation and enjoying nature, particularly when flowers are in season. The lack of a cafe is seen by some as a positive, preserving its quiet charm.

"Probably when everything is blooming it looks better... Free entrance. In June it was not very impressive... it needs a lot of work but is still a good place to chill out and relax in the nature.
There was also a lovely photo exposition in one of the buildings."

"Great places to enjoy the nature in the middle of Tokyo's Akatsuka neighborhood. It is well maintained and the staffs are working almost everyday to take care the garden. You can find a mini library and toilet also. It's also a good place to learn about different kinds of trees and plants since they have a great information board on each of the species. I really enjoyed my first visit and definitely will come back regularly to watch the flowers bloom each seasons. This garden also located close to the other interesting spots such as Itabashi Art Museum and Ruins of Akatsuka Castle."

"A beautiful and secret little garden in Akatsuka, Itabashi. Lovely in all seasons. You can stroll around in about thirty minutes. Clean toilet facilities and a little library for those who want to learn more about the plants. There is a route you can follow with a pushchair or wheelchair. Lots of benches if you want to sit and eat or read. If you’re filling out the afternoon in the area, it’s very close to Tokyo’s giant Buddha statue, several temples, and many parks and playgrounds. I wish there was a cafe or coffee shop here but maybe it’s good there isn’t one, otherwise I’d be there all the time!"
