Need help in transport from Ito-shi to Mount Omuro

Hi all, We have a day stop at Ito-shi and we plan to explore the attractions around the town. One of the most attractive one is the Mount Omuro climbing chairlifts. We are exploring our transport options from ito station and we can only find the bus route which takes around…

Check the weather ☁️

Clear days offer stunning views of the coast and potentially Mt. Fuji.

Chairlift is part of the fun :camera_with_flash:

Enjoy the scenic ride up and down; it offers great photo opportunities.

How do I go to Mt Omuro from Tokyo by train?

Thinking of going to Mt Omuro during my Tokyo travel in April. May I know, what's the cheapest train to Omuro? Which train line to ride on? I did check out Google Maps, but quite can't trust it enough, so just to hear from someone more experienced.

"Some people call this Macha Mountain. It is really so green and pretty!

The cable cart is interesting. It might look a bit dangerous, but you can enjoy the view and the wind around you.

On the mountain top, walking one round takes about 25 to 30 minutes. Can see the Ito city, the coast, the ocean and also many mountains. Unfortunately, today was a bit cloudy and we couldn't see Mt. Fuji. However, this is not the point.

Anyway, really loved our trip there!"

Ian Li

"Amazing place at 580m above sea level and has a crater which needs around 30 minutes to circle on foot. Lift ticket price is ¥1000 per adult. Riders can enjoy a spectacular view during the lift ride to reach the top of the mountain."
