Where to go in Kyoto apart from main tourist areas?
Ive been to main tourist areas a while ago...such as Gion, Kiyomizudera, Arashiyama Bamboo Forest etc. I have a day free tomorrow from this event before I go back to Hokkaido. Where would you recommend I go? Also, crowds are horrible man

What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Kamogawa Onsen offers a mixed bag of experiences, with many guests praising the stunning ocean views, clean and uncrowded onsen facilities, and attentive staff. However, some visitors have been disappointed by the dining experience, citing issues with food quality and a lack of flexibility for dietary needs. Despite these drawbacks, the scenic beauty and relaxing atmosphere make it a memorable stay for many.
"The view and service were good. However, unfortunately, the kaiseki meal included beef, which we do not eat, and the hotel refused to adjust it. This indicates that the hotel is totally lacking in adaptability and does not have the capacity to accommodate guests who do not fit within the Japanese cultural context."

"Initially, the hotel made a very positive impression. The reception staff were exceptionally friendly, and the room offered a spectacular view. Each floor featured a station with complimentary coffee, tea, and fruit drinks, which was a thoughtful touch. However, the water at these stations was not restocked, and the water supply in our room was insufficient from the start.
Unfortunately, the dining experience left much to be desired. During dinner, the staff failed to explain the dishes, seemed unfriendly, and placed bowls on the table with unnecessary loudness, which was quite disruptive. Breakfast was equally disappointing, with the salad bar at the buffet left unstocked and the rice served at both meals consistently hard and dry.
While the hotel shines in its scenic views and initial appeal, it falls significantly short in the quality of its food and service. Moreover, we didn’t feel welcomed or well cared for, which greatly diminished the overall experience."
