An afternoon/evening in Kanazawa -- a lovely city!

"A nice simple museum with friendly staff showing us around and explaining in English using translator. He even gave us two little origami and introduced nearby specialties to us😄"

"Free of charge entrance fee. This place has old traditional tea house setting upstaires, where they played their drums, strings and danced. No English guides or descriptions but you could try posing with a traditionally crafted umbrella downstairs. Apparently those umbrellas use Japanese paper and wood or bamboo frames, meticulous decorations coated with wax to be water resistent. Made by hand, it took 10 months to finish one. It is an amazing craft and it is a privilege to be able to hold it."

"Good museum in Nishi-Chaya District, the staff is very helpful but they can't speak english well but you can understand what they speak."
