What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Space World Museum Kitakyushu for its impressive planetarium with a massive screen and inspiring shows. The interactive exhibits and Space Labo are also highlighted as engaging for all ages, though most text is in Japanese. It's considered a good, cozy science museum, especially for families, and easily accessible by public transport.
"I visited SPACE LABO in mid-June to watch their planetarium show. The planetarium is huge and I don’t think I have been to any other planetarium with such a huge screen before. The show I joined was about finding Venus in the sky of Kitakyushu. The planetarium guide used the huge screen to mimic the sky and guided us on how to find Venus and other constellations. The whole show was very inspiring and I must say the guide did a very good job.
Although I did not visit the exhibition due to time constraints, seeing the robot next to the entrance using wooden blocks to build a city, the exhibition itself must be very interesting.
Overall, this is a good museum and I will probably return one day to see their exhibition. If you want to visit this museum, you have to book in advance."
