One of my favorite moments in Tokyo was when we fished our own food, it was a delightful experience. If you have the opportunity you should try it~ #tokyo #japan #sashimi #kotocity #fish

Reviews Summary

Sakuragicho Pier is a popular spot for fishing with scenic views of the Tokyo Gate Bridge, offering a free entry to a spacious park. However, access via public transport is inconvenient, and the pier can get very crowded, with some anglers occupying excessive space. Limited food options mean visitors should come prepared.

"Pros:
- Nice place for fishing.

Cons:
- Public transportation is limited to a single bus route. Additionally the bus does not always reach to the park entrance. People should pay attention.
- Food service is also very limited to a single small shop. You should better bring your own."

"If you plan to fish and get by public transportation you are gonna be too late, everyone straight up brings tents and other gear to stay the whole time, you can't find any empty spots or shade, the worst thing is that the old people in there bring from 4 to 6 different fishing rods and occupy a large area making it very difficult to cast, and when you even try to cast when you see a slight open space they yell at you telling to go another place which is not possible because its fully packed."

"My son wanted to go fishing in the ocean. It took us a little over an hour from Asakusabashi with two trains and a bus.
I didn't realize that the fishing booth where you can rent equipment and buy bait had closed at 5pm. We had our own rod, but not appropriate equipment and bait as I thought we could buy it there. We tried a little but it was really windy. There were plenty of people fishing along the bridge. I didn't see anyone catch anything. There were vending machines with drinks and ice cream. And they even had garbage cans which are rear in Tokyo. It probably would have been nice if we could rent fishing gear and it hadn't been so windy. They made an announcement in Japanese around 6.30. I think they might have let people know that the last bus was leaving soon, according to google maps it was, so we went back."
