What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors appreciate the unique, bird-shaped architecture of the Yanbaru Kuina Observation Deck and the beautiful coastal views it offers. However, the access road is notoriously narrow and steep, requiring cautious driving, and parking is limited. The tower itself is noted as being somewhat unkempt.
"Very beautiful area. You can get there directly by car, but it's a bit more "adventurous", but doable.
Wonderful views and very little going on. We were there during the week in August."

"A somewhat abandoned observatory tower to get fantastic views of the coastline on a clear and sunny day. The tower is shaped as a bird, which adds to the uniqueness of the tower and blends well with the scenery.
However, the road leading the tower is very narrow and steep. Do note to drive with caution and look out for oncoming traffic. I would recommend to skip this attraction if there is too much traffic here, as parking is limited as well.
Visited in September 2024."

"Kind of a novelty. The view from inside the bird isn't as good as the view from the observation deck in front of it. I didn't think the road up was very steep, but the road is very narrow with blind corners, so take it slow and carefully. Try to get a photo of the bird from the bottom of the hill on your way in."
