Reviews Summary

Visitors praise the Akinada Ohashi Bridge for its spectacular panoramic views of the Akinada Sea and its significance as Japan's longest prefectural road bridge. The scenic beauty and the experience of crossing are highly valued, with many finding the toll reasonable for the views. However, some note the inconvenience of cash-only payments and the challenging access to elevated viewpoints.

"This is the first toll bridge crossing the Tobishima Kaido from the mainland.
Mopeds can cross for 50 yen one way.
Payment is cash only.

Opened in 2000, this 1,175m-long suspension bridge is said to be the longest prefectural road in Japan.

Not only is the view from this bridge truly spectacular, but the entire Tobishima Kaido is also spectacular.
The toll may seem like a nuisance, but it's actually quite cheap when you think of it as admission to a theme park with breathtaking views.

To view the bridge from above, you can get a view from the observation deck in Akinada Park on the mainland, or from up a narrow road on the mountainside on the Shimokamagari Island side.
Both have poor roads and no parking.

The first recommended spot after crossing the bridge is Shirasakien.
It's a well-maintained park, so be sure to stop by."

"I crossed this bridge on the way back from a road trip to Hiroshima Prefecture.
As others have written, there is a fee.
I asked the receptionist at the hot spring resort, and they said that even island residents have to pay.
I wonder what Kure city is thinking... I think it would be nice if they could at least give some back to the islanders.
The return trip is free if you are so inclined.
Present your receipt for the outbound trip and a receipt for over 1,000 yen from designated stores at the designated location and you will be given a multi-ride ticket.
You can also get through for half price.
Apparently, a book of 100 tickets is half price.
I will write about my conversation with the receptionist at the hot spring resort in my review of the hot spring resort."

"From the bridge you can get a panoramic view of the Akinada Sea.
The contrast between the blue of the sea and the blue of the sky is very beautiful and a wonderful sight. The toll is 720 yen one way. If you buy souvenirs on the island, the bridge toll on the way back is free, so we recommend buying some souvenirs to take home."
