What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
A delightful destination for young Anpanman fans, offering immersive play areas and creative workshops. While the admission fee is noted as high, the joy it brings to children under six is consistently praised. The convenient location within Nagashima Resort adds to its appeal.
"There was a line up before their opening at 10am, and since we didn’t buy tickets until advance we decided to take a look at the food court and souvenir shop first. To my surprised there’s actually quite an amount of fun stuff you can do inside too and not necessarily in the museum. My 3.5 years old ended up having a lot of fun at the “carnival area” and had her lunch there. We didn’t make it into the museum and it was her nap time. I would recommend just checking out the bottom floor if you’re tight on time!"

"The Anpanman Children’s Museum in Nagoya is located within the Nagashima Resort area, which also includes an amusement park and a factory outlet mall, making it a convenient spot for a day trip.
The admission fee for the museum is the same for both adults and children, and it’s on the pricier side, especially considering that the attractions are mainly aimed at younger children. Inside, you’ll find numerous Anpanman-themed shops and restaurants, all colorfully decorated and appealing to fans of the popular character. There are several small rides and play areas designed specifically for preschool-aged children or those under primary school age. Families with older kids might find this destination less engaging and could consider skipping it.
Throughout the day, there are various shows and performances featuring Anpanman characters. However, it’s worth noting that one of the indoor shows requires an additional ticket, and it’s primarily targeted at local Japanese children who are familiar with the cartoon and can sing along to the songs.
One of the highlights is the bakery inside the museum, which sells adorable Anpanman-themed bread and pastries. They’re beautifully crafted, quite tasty, and definitely worth trying, although the prices are a bit high.
Overall, the Anpanman Children’s Museum is a delightful spot for young Anpanman fans and their families, but it may not be the best value or the most suitable attraction for families with older children."
