Works are pricey but these are handmade unique works reflecting high technic and long hours. They have a sales section with cheaper items, I got three tea cups for 4300¥. Definitely work a look !"

Nestled in the heart of Higashiyama near the historic Gojo-zaka district, the centre is just a short walk from landmarks like Kiyomizu-dera Temple and the Kyoto National Museum, making it easy to combine a cultural outing with your visit.
The space functions more than a gallery, it’s a bridge between Kyoto’s rich ceramic heritage and its vibrant contemporary art scene, showcasing established artworks of famed Kyoto ceramicists as well as modern innovative creations by young, aspiring artists in the city.
Walking into the center, we’re immediately greeted by an array of stunning ceramic pieces, ranging from intricate traditional designs to bold modern creations. The first floor showcases collections from local artisans where you can admire and feel the pieces up close, which are available for purchase for interested collectors.
The second floor features temporary exhibition of local artworks which the centre regularly rotates its exhibits, ensuring there’s always something new to discover.
However, do take note that given the costly price tag - particularly for works from famous artisans - for majority of their pieces, the intended target audience appears to be more for avid collectors of such craft rather than the average casual shoppers."

It was really impressive and awe-inspiring to see such technical intricacy in person. Some pieces may be priced higher than souvenir shops, as they’re handmade by upcoming artists within the local community. A very wide price range to cater to every sort of buyer, from a sale section of wares starting from about 20USD for a handmade chawan all the way to the pricier pieces by famous artists on the second floor, where the exhibition regularly rotates."
