"I give very genuine reviews, not leaving reviews for likes. First, I pay respect to the old Japanese and their culture. I don't mean no disrespect but I honestly don't see how magnificent this palace is. We arrived at two and joined the English tour. Tour guide is good and informative. The tour brings us to the garden and walk around the palace looking in from the outside, just as the photos shown. It's not worth your time. Info on their structures, you can most likely find them online.
The craftsmanship and structures are cool but not the most impressive I have seen. I don't mean no disrespect.
This is the only imperial palace that allows underage visitors. I didn't get to see the inside of other imperial palaces that required passport registrations."

"Kyoto's Imperial palace was WAY better than Tokyo's. It was free to get in and no crowds, even midday. It was peaceful, historic, and full of amazing architecture. I loved looking around and could have spend hours here. Sadly the gardens are nothing special."
