What's the second-easiest hike in Kyoto?
Assuming Daimonji is the easiest. Where do you take someone whose fitness you're unsure of but has already been to Daimonji? Maybe Fushimi inari? I feel like Hiei is a big jump up in difficulty. Kurama as well. edit: I stand corrected, Daimonji seems to not be the easiest hike…

"A nice little hike with some great views of Kyoto, Takatsuki and even as far as Osaka. Coming from Hankyu railway, you can catch the No. 66 bus from Higashi-Miki to the final stop to find the trail. It takes around 2 hours to the top of the 678m summit. Be careful not to miss the last bus back!"

"We started from Yoshimine Temple, and it took us about 1.5 hours to reach Mt.Ponpon at fairly slow pace. Getting down with the route took us only 50 minutes as it was getting dark we walked faster.
Beware that there are several routes and some of the routes are closed now (see photos)."
