Taxidermy/oddities stores in Tokyo/Kyoto/Osaka?

Hi! I will be traveling to Japan in March-April next year. I collect all kinds of weird things, like animal skulls/bones, insects, taxidermy, macabre antiques, etc. I can't seem to find any "oddities" stores even in Tokyo when I google it, but I would be shocked if there weren't…

"This is a lovely shop located on Meguro Interior Street. The owner has great taste and is very kind. There are lots of antique furniture lined up, and when you enter this shop, you feel like you're not in Japan. It's a fun shop every time I go."

"ARTICLE's service was truly amazing.
It's something I'll use for a long time. I was able to shop with peace of mind. 🪑
_
I was intrigued by the lightest, most compact wooden chair in the store.
"Please sit down if you'd like," the friendly owner kindly said,
so I sat down. 🪑
My back and butt felt perfectly snug!
It was the most comfortable chair I've ever sat in. ♡
Plus, it's compact enough to fit perfectly in our limited-space home. 🪑
When I stood up, I felt a pang of regret for my butt.
Apparently it's a chair from the 1920s.
My husband commented, "The color is a little different from our current furniture."
He was right.
This chair was the lightest in the store. 🪑
Its compact size gives it a low profile, which is a great thing, but
the color is so different from our current furniture that it feels out of place.
I thought it might be rude, but I asked anyway, "Is it possible to paint it?"
They immediately replied, "Yes, you can,"
and showed me a color sampler with a row of stained wooden plates.
One of them was a color that was close to my current furniture.
I decided to go with that color.
The color was mahogany.
They helped me decide whether to go with a more yellow or reddish mahogany color to match my image.
They also said the chair height could be adjusted,
and when I took off my shoes and sat down, I definitely felt that the seat felt higher than before because the soles had worn down!
So I asked them to reduce the height by 2cm to account for the soles.
This is practically a semi-custom order, isn't it? 🪑
ARTICLE's custom adjustment service to suit your needs is included in the price of the product!
No additional charge!
I was really surprised by that too.
They even checked the measurements to make sure it would be comfortable to use with my desk.
This level of service is hard to find when shopping online. I was very pleased with my purchase. I hope to find some more wonderful furniture at ARTICLE."

潮騒ちゃん

"This is an antique furniture store with very good taste.
The owner is polite and I can sense his confidence and pride as a professional.
The product that really caught my eye this time was slightly over-specced, and therefore a little over my budget, so I wasn't able to make an immediate decision, but I would like to visit again."
