It's a really great mountain 😆"

"August 2025, age 59
Yuzuruhayama, one of the 100 famous mountains of Kansai.
I parked my car at Yuzuruha Dam and reached the summit in just over an hour.
I started the climb early in the morning, while it was still dark, so I was able to encounter a variety of wild animals. Since there are no bears on Awaji Island, you can enjoy hiking in peace.
Unfortunately, it was cloudy that day, so I couldn't see the view. If it had been clear, I'd be able to see the ocean."

"I went mountain climbing today.
I started the climb from the direction of Habu in a light passenger vehicle. The route suggested by Google Navigation had small signs at every fork in the road, so I didn't get lost. The slope is steep up to Yuzuruha Shrine (with free parking and restrooms), but it's possible to climb in a two-wheel drive vehicle. Next to the shrine is an observation deck facing south and a rest area that also sells drinks. From the rest area, follow the signs labeled "Ura-sando" (Back Approach) and climb about 1-2 km to reach the shrine and triangulation point at the summit. This approach is closed to vehicles (including motorcycles and bicycles).
It's possible to drive up close to the summit by taking the road next to the parking lot (Omotesando?), but the slope is steep and slippery near the top, so it's difficult unless you have an off-road vehicle.
No matter which route you take from the base to the summit, the road is narrow, so if you encounter oncoming traffic, be careful not to back off the road or fall off the cliff."
