Tokyo Joypolis Worth it?
As the title suggests, I'm planning to visit Joypolis on April 2025. Is it worth spending half a day there? My wife and I are gaming fans and like rollercoasters. I also heard that the queues are pretty long, does that also apply to weekdays?

What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Tokyo Joypolis offers a unique indoor entertainment experience with a strong focus on SEGA arcade games and thrill rides. While many visitors enjoy the immersive gaming atmosphere and unique attractions, some find certain rides to be short or not worth the additional cost. The park is particularly appealing to gamers and those seeking an indoor activity, especially on rainy days.
"Some of the rides felt short and not worth it, some felt more fulfilling and unique. The lines were a bit long in the weekend so I would recommend going on a weekday and not missing out on the flag rides.
I would also recommend coming with another friend to maximise your experience."

"It was packed of people due to spring break. But if you are fan of SEGA:Sonic, (like my son) you will definitely liked it!
The weather today is not that great, so this amusement park is a covered centre. Great especially if it’s raining!
I booked from Klook (for adult buy 1 take 1), so I just bought seperate for my son. So easy, just go over to the counter to get exchange a proper ticket.
Went inside to the 2nd floor you’ll see sonic statue!
If you came at noon, most ride waiting is 30 to 60 minutes. So many games kind a Timezone in Australia.
Food wise, nothing fancy. Just not to get hungry :-)
For me, this is only Good for one visit!"

"It was around 3:45pm on a Saturday when my husband, our friends, and I visited after playing go-karts nearby.
We had some free time before our BBQ dinner, so we decided to stop by and explore a bit.
We purchased the entry tickets for ¥1,500 each, as we didn’t plan to spend the whole day here.
We then decided to try the ISSEN laser shooting game.
However, we were not informed that this particular game required an additional top-up at another counter, which cost ¥900 per person.
So, for anyone planning to come for a short visit, be aware that the entry fee does not include access to all attractions.
We waited around 40 minutes for our turn. The instructions and process were clear and well organized.
When it was finally our turn, a group of 12 people was brought in at a time.
After a short storyline and introduction, we put on the vests and were given laser guns.
We went through a short practice round and then entered the main game room.
The setup looked promising, but the actual gameplay was extremely brief, barely one minute.
Most of us were still hiding or aiming when suddenly everyone “got shot” at the same time without warning, and the guns just stopped working.
The game ended abruptly, leaving us confused and disappointed.
It felt like we spent more time walking through rooms and listening to the storyline than actually playing.
Considering the entry fee and the extra charge for this attraction, we felt it was not worth the price.
It was unfortunately a disappointing experience, and we wouldn’t recommend it."
