In the shire of Sawada hamlet close to Shimoji-Jima Airport, numerous rocks are rolling. These are believed to be drifted from the sea by the tsunami in 1771, just like "Obi-iwa" rock on the western shore of the neighboring Shimoji-Jima Island. Sunset probably very good view here. Low tide you can view the lots of interesting rocks. And you can also see 17END at this location. Very nice place."

"Google has the wrong name. It's Sawadanohama (Sawada Beach). Wrong name aside, it's still a great beach. It's very safe and has shallow water for a very long ways. Great for kids and BBQs! Watching the sunset with a bonfire is probably the best way to enjoy this beach."
