💰 Good Value for Money
Considered a great deal compared to Tokyo onsen prices, offering relaxation without breaking the bank.
🌹 Rose-scented Steam Room
Enjoy the unique rose aroma in the small but pleasant steam room.
Going to Miyakojima next week but the weather sucks
I booked this trip months out with the full knowledge that it’s in between seasons and the weather is fickle. So with most of the days from 30 September looking rainy, what is the best way to spend my time? I will have a rental car for two days.

What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Shigira Golden Onsen is praised for its unique mineral-rich waters, beautiful tropical garden setting, and the inclusive co-ed outdoor area where swimwear is allowed. Visitors appreciate the value for money and the relaxing atmosphere, though some note limited indoor options and cafe selections.
"Sweet personnel very helpful. Gorgeous gardens with outside pools of minéral rich water, upper pool had a nice océan view frames by tropical plants, clean sauna, steam room although small, smelled like roses, nice lounge area for women and a coed onsen with minéral pools and swimming pool both beautiful my landscaped like enchanted tropical paradise. Cafe unfortunately has no interesting items. Everything looked artificial as it was from a box or a can."

"I love that this place has an outdoor onsen that is heated, and a section that feels like jacuzzi. You can wear bathing suit outdoor. The outdoor is co-ed. 1500 yen per person for people who are not guests of the resort. The only thing is the indoor onsen didn't have a lot of options. Only 2 diff saunas, and only 3 diff onsen options."

"I came here with my boyfriend after Christmas. We reserved a private room and we got a nice onsen for ourselves! It's a bit pricey for 90min, but it's a touristic island in the middle of nowhere so it was fine and enough to be honest.
There is a big public onsen that you can get in using swim wear. It's very cool and I think very good for families with kids.
The day was cloudy and chill, so it was perfect!"
