Reviews Summary

Visitors find the Oceanic Culture Museum and Planetarium to be an underrated and excellent value attraction, often overshadowed by the nearby aquarium. It's praised for its affordability, informative exhibits on Pacific Island cultures, and a surprisingly high-quality planetarium show with translation services. While English text can be limited, the visual displays and helpful staff make it a worthwhile and enjoyable experience for all ages.

"This place is very cool. Affordable entry, free translation for the planetarium and a wealth of information. There is even a large children's area for families to relax out of the heat and let their children play. Do not miss it if you have been to the aquarium!"

Rowan

"The cultural museum and plantarium was very nice after touring the aquarium. Loved the vessels and the boats, learned a lot of the Okinawa culture too."

Anthony Plaxen

"This place is very underrated and underpriced. It’s located in the same area as the aquarium so it gets overshadowed. If you only want to visit this place without going through the aquarium, you can do that as well. The entrance fee is only ¥180 for adults and kids are free. If you like history this is a good place to visit. If you’re Pacific Islander, this whole museum is dedicated to the Pacific Islands. There’s a planetarium in there with different showing times. It’s all in Japanese but they give out headphones so you can follow along with a translation in the language of your choice ( they have English, Korean, Chinese etc..). Overall a great experience.

Overall a very interesting and great visit."
