The chance to see eagles and use telescopes is a highlight, making it a great spot for families and nature enthusiasts. "It's a great place to experience bird watching if you never try it before, the staffs are friendly and helpful in guiding and explaining what's happening in 1 of the rooms, some of the binoculars are able to touch and move around to watch the birds, some are not so please check with the staffs.
Able to see that there are regulars there as well, and they are more delightful to explain to you what they are looking out for. During my visit, we are able to chance upon eagles resting in the mountains nearby and flew all the way to lake biwa. You can see the excitement of those people in the center as we get hyped along as well haha.
You could take photos using your phone through the binoculars, it really takes time and patience to get the correct angle (as you can see from my video), but you got all the time there since the ticket is a day pass.
Really had a great time there!"

"It is a fun place to go to observe the wild bird. My pictures here is taken straight from the telescope. No filter no edit no anything. This is underrated place as normally only locals visiting to rent the telescope. I dont really see anyone here except regulars. And also some grandma 👵 but i like it. Good place to go if you have a child 😉"

"A nice place for a short day out, but communication is tough without having a private vehicle. The nearest JR station is Nagahama. No nearby restaurants. The life size artificial birds are nicely made."
