What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
The Valley of Witches is widely praised as a standout area in Ghibli Park, lauded for its vastness, interactivity, and incredibly detailed recreations of iconic film locations like Howl's Moving Castle. Visitors appreciate the immersive experience and the 'theme park' feel. However, some find the ticketing system complex, queues long with little shade, and certain attractions or food options overpriced, leading to disappointment for a few.
"The valley is the best outdoor section in Ghibli Park. It’s way more vast, fun, and interactive than Dondoko Forest and Mononoke Village.
All 3 houses require queuing up to get in, and there’s no photography allowed for crowd management purposes. There’s little to no shade when you wait in line though, so be prepared."

"The best, or one of the best parts of Ghibli Park, and the most “theme park”-like of the areas. It feels like this was newly built to address criticisms of the park (that it is too small, and has has no rides)—there is a circular flying ride, and a carousel, though those require extra tickets.
There are three houses within that you can visit with a premium ticket, and they are all very well-designed."

"It is a 2 minute walk from the Grand warehouse, and it is the 5th attraction inside the Ghibli park that just recently been opened. This place is my 2nd favorite place next to the Grand Warehouse because it also has a lot to offer, plus there are also fun rides for the kids and a carousel that adults can also ride for a fee.
They also have a restaurant, bakery, hotdog stand, a hat & book shop, and a souvenir shop that matches the adorable theme of the place. Be prepared during the summer season because the sweltering afternoon heat is sometimes unbearable and uncomfortable.
There are also some facilities the can only be entered if you only have purchased the premium pass, I suggest buying it if you want to fully experience the place.
Ps. You could ride a free shuttle bus here if you wanted to visit other attractions in the area, just make sure to check the time."
