"Wonderful snow at this area but of course subject to weather conditions. Cheaper than other resorts, good for intermediate snowboarders. Only having to endure long windy bus journeys if staying downtown."

"The Togakushi Ski Resort is one of the best places to enjoy winter sports in Nagano city, very close from the downtown of Nagano city, it takes about 40 minutes by car, a bus is also available from the Nagano Railway Terminal. The snow quality is excellent, there is very smooth powder snow in almost all areas.
There are two restaurants in the resort, the restaurant offers tasty lunch, recommended cold Togakushi Soba noodles (Japanese buckwheat noodles), also recommended to visit early like 11:00 - 11:30 to take lunch. No chance of getting a table around noon."
