Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Nasu Panorama Line for its stunning scenic ropeway ride and the rewarding hike to Chaosudake summit, which is made accessible by the gondola. The pet-friendly policy is a significant plus for many. Some wish for more substantial food options at the top.
"Dog friendly - pets allowed on the ropeway with a cage (you can rent a cage with dolly for an extra 500yen).
Ropeway takes several minutes up and down. Another 30-40 minutes climbing to the top. The weather on the top is rapidly changing and the route is not the easiest so be prepared if you plan climbing."

"If you want to summit one of the mountains in the area, the ropeway is an excellent way to get a head start to Chaosudake. Definitely worth the money, especially if you have smaller kids and want to summit. The operators are great and provide story on the way up the mountain. This year we took a 9 and 10 year old up to summit. The head start from the ropeway got us up and back within 3 hours, right before the rain started. The return trip is also a great time for a beer, tea, coffee or soft cream. The view is well worth the little fee just to have confidence in achieving the summit."
