"We entered during the botan matsuri, when there was an entrance fee of 500 yen. Immediately felt it was worth the price, as we received tea and Japanese sweets as a service. We enjoyed the sweets while watching the temple from the garden.
Afterward, we walked up a small mountain at the back of the graveyard, which was a great experience. It was quiet and the air was refreshing, and at the end, there was a bell you could ring.
In the graveyard, the peonies were in bloom. Additionally, we ran into a large troop of wild monkeys, that were eating fresh flowers from the graves. The monkeys were not afraid of people and you could see them at a very close distance. We also saw a wild honey badger.
The area itself is also very beautiful. Would absolutely recommend."
