What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors overwhelmingly praise the Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo as a magical and immersive experience, especially for Harry Potter fans. The detailed sets, props, and behind-the-scenes insights are consistently highlighted as major draws. While the ticket price is noted as high, most feel it's a worthwhile investment for the quality of the experience.
"The Making of Harry Potter in Tokyo is an absolute dream come true. The moment you step inside, you feel like you’re walking straight into the films. The sets are unbelievably detailed — from the Great Hall to Diagon Alley — and there are tons of interactive spots where you can cast spells, ride a broom, or explore the Forbidden Forest.
The tour is huge, so take your time; there’s something to see around every corner, and the behind-the-scenes exhibits make you appreciate the craftsmanship that went into the movies. The staff are friendly and keep everything moving smoothly, even when it’s busy.
The Butterbeer, the photo ops, the costumes, the creatures — everything is spot on. Whether you’re a hardcore fan or just someone who enjoys impressive movie-making, this experience is easily one of the coolest attractions in Tokyo."

"One of the most anticipated places for Potterheads (Harry Potter fans) to visit when traveling to Japan—especially in Tokyo. With a large area to explore, this attraction offers countless experiences from the magical world of Harry Potter. You’ll find fantastic movie-like interiors, interactive spots such as casting your own Patronus, and various shows, including magic classes.
The theme changes depending on the season. During my last visit (early November 2025), it was the Christmas theme, and a few weeks earlier it featured the Triwizard Tournament. There’s no time limit inside, and most people spend around 3–5 hours. For true Potterheads, it’s worth visiting more than once because it’s genuinely so much fun!"

"Absolutely amazing experience! We liked it just slightly more than the one in London, but both are phenomenal. You will want to buy tickets in advance and if you will need parking, you will also buy that the same time as your tickets. They scan it for you to get into the parking lot. It takes several hours to go through the whole tour and then add a bit of extra time for eating. Also, butterbeer is ONLY found at the midway cafe point, so get it there if you want some. It comes in an adorable souvenir cup that you take home with you. The level of detail here is top notch and many of the displays have extra magic to them with movement and such. There are more locations/ rooms on display here, as well.
The food was also excellent. They stay open until closing time, which is nice considering that most of Japan will have a last order well before they close. We got one of the feasts to share for 2 of our group and it was so good and plenty for 2 people. The fish and chips was very good and the pizza was so unique and tasty! I really loved the pumpkin juice, but my husband didn't as it is made with a moderate amount of real pumpkin puree and only lightly sweet.
The gift shop had many fun things only found in Tokyo and we certainly spent a nice amount there. We had an amazing visit and would highly recommend a tour!"
