"We took our time meandering up to the Senkoji Peak Observatory and paid 100yen to climb the boulder (with the unsafe chain design) which was a bit of fun. The temple is interesting and if you make your way right through there is an audio device providing information and history of the temple in several languages. The hike to the observation deck is well worth it, the views are grand. Who ever designed the stairs at the actual observation deck, is amazing, these are climbed with such ease. A great way to explore Onomichi and take in the beauty of this inland sea."

It was a bit grueling, especially with some steep parts, but if you take your time and enjoy the walk, it’s totally worth it.
