What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Guests rave about Cross Hotel Osaka's unbeatable location in the heart of Dotonbori, offering immediate access to shopping, dining, and entertainment. The comfortable rooms and friendly staff are frequently highlighted, though some mention potential street noise and the unique water dispenser system. Overall, its prime spot makes it a highly recommended choice for experiencing Osaka's vibrant energy.
"If you want to be near the action in Dotonbori, then it's hard to beat Cross Hotel. The location is very ideal -- a couple of blocks away from the nearest access to Namba Station, the Glico man just around the corner, cross the street to get to Don Quixote, walk a few meters to the nearest convenience store -- I could go on and on. This isn't the hotel to go to if one wants to stay in a quiet neighborhood.
We got a room facing Dotonbori. The size is slightly bigger than the average Japanese hotel. AC is great. The floor has a drinks vending machine and a microwave, which is quite convenient.
We got a package which included breakfast and we were glad we did. The selection isn't huge but there's something for everyone.
The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Since we stayed for 9 nights, I requested for four extra pillows to ensure that we get good sleep, and they obliged.
On the nitpicking side, we wished there was a laundry room within the hotel. That would've been so convenient. But hey, there's a coin laundry place not far. Just search for it on Google Maps.
If there's a downside (and definitely not their fault), it's the noise coming from vehicles plying along the main avenue late at night, trying to get everyone's attention. A light sleeper might want to request for a quieter room if there's an option."

"The bed and comforter were very comfortable, which made for a great night’s sleep. The room itself had good space, and the sofa was a nice and convenient touch. However, the shower room layout was a bit odd and not my favorite—it included a chair, which felt unnecessary and awkward in the space.
One downside for us was the hotel’s water dispenser system. The hotel does not provide bottled water, and instead you’re given a very small pitcher to refill. Compared to other hotels, this was inconvenient, especially since the water dispenser was quite slow.
The closet space was also limited, with no extra cabinet shelves for additional storage, which made organizing our belongings a bit challenging.
That said, the location is by far the best aspect of this hotel. It’s extremely close to shopping and restaurants, and very easy to walk to Namba Station for transportation to Kansai International Airport. Being right next to so many food and shopping options made getting around incredibly convenient. Overall, the excellent location makes this a solid choice."

"had a wonderful stay at Cross Hotel Osaka. The location is perfect — just steps away from Dotonbori, Shinsaibashi shopping street, and Namba Station. It made exploring Osaka extremely easy.
The room was clean, modern, and surprisingly spacious for Japan. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was big and well-designed. Housekeeping kept everything spotless throughout the stay.
Staff were friendly, helpful, and efficient during check-in and check-out. The lobby area also feels stylish and welcoming.
Overall, Cross Hotel Osaka offers great value with its amazing location, comfortable rooms, and excellent service. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Osaka!"
