Reviews Summary
Imazato Station is recognized as a functional transit hub with convenient access to local amenities like the Shinmichi Shopping Street. "Nice station with vending machines and toilets"

"Trying out Imazato and it looks great"

"This station is on the Sennichimae Line and the Imazatosuji Line. It is the terminus of the Imazatosuji Line. The Sennichimae Line's Imazato Depot was originally located here, but it was closed. The Sennichimae Line now conducts inspections at the Morinomiya Inspection Yard on the Chuo Line. Many public facilities in Higashinari Ward are located around the station, including Higashinari Ward Office, Higashinari Police Station, and Higashinari Fire Station. Higashinari Ward Office is located about two minutes from Exit 1, and Higashinari Police Station and Higashinari Fire Station are located immediately outside Exit 8. Many restaurants and shops are located in the Imazato Shinmichi Shopping Street. Outside of that area, there are few restaurants and the area is residential. Please note that it is about a 10-minute walk to Kintetsu Imazato Station."

Understanding Imazato's Transportation Network
A key point for visitors to note is the distance between the Osaka Metro Imazato Station and the Kintetsu Imazato Station. They are approximately a 13-minute walk apart, which is considered too far for a seamless transfer by many travelers. Consequently, Tsuruhashi Station is often recommended as a more practical transfer point if you need to connect to Kintetsu Railway lines. This distinction is vital for planning efficient travel within Osaka and beyond.
Furthermore, the station is situated at a significant intersection, including National Route 308 and Osaka Prefectural Routes 702 and 173. This location contributes to the area's heavy vehicular traffic, even though it lies outside the city's main loop line. The ongoing construction for elevator installation at Exit 6 (until March 2026) also impacts immediate accessibility, directing visitors to use Exit 5 as an alternative.

While the immediate vicinity of the station is lively with the shopping street and public facilities like the Ward Office, Police, and Fire Station, venturing further out reveals a quieter, more residential character.
