Reviews Summary
Oko is a highly recommended Osaka gem, celebrated for its delicious, generously portioned okonomiyaki and incredibly inclusive menu featuring excellent gluten-free and vegan options. The restaurant's unique, vibrant atmosphere and the solo dedication of its owner, Shiho-chan, create a memorable and fun dining experience, even with the expected wait times.
"This place is absolute amazing! It has a very fun vibe with great music and stylish decoration. It also has wonderful vegan and glutenfree options! Not to mention that the owner is just the best! Shiho runs the place by herself, taking orders and cooking, but she still has a great energy and is super friendly! Absolute power woman! And even the wait is made fun by being able to get some drinks for a cheap price in the meantime and some free snacks too. Absolutely recommendable and amazing!"

"Talk about girl power! This entire restaurant is run by one individual young woman. She takes the orders, cooks the food, serves the food, supplies the drinks based on a trust system and is very friendly while doing so. The restaurant is decorated in her own style with writing on the walls by people from all over the world. The menu offers options for all diets which was nice for us being vegetarian. The food was flavorful and quite big portions for a very affordable price. The wait was pretty long but worth every second to experience the delicious food. If you're in Osaka you need to go stand in line and support this girl boss in her awesome restaurant!"

"This place is the most fun, even with a wait it is so worth it! Just Shiho working but she has the best energy, and once you’ve ordered you barely wait at all for your food! The portions are HUGEEE - two people could easily share a medium if not super hungry, we ordered one medium or large each and couldn’t finish any!! The self serve drinks and honesty system is so great, with heaps of options.
We have two coeliacs/celiacs and everything is very clearly labelled as gluten free or not (even the self serve sauces). All seperate utensils and equipments are used so we feel super comfortable here"
