The same building also houses the West Fire Station, and on the side facing the main street, many fire engines and ambulances are on standby, and in an emergency, the median strip of the road is lowered by a chain to allow fire engines and other vehicles to pass through.
Next to the fire station is the Osaka Municipal Subway, and further behind that is Kyocera Dome Osaka. If you go up the stairs from the back (southwest) of the building, you will find a free passageway that allows you to travel between the fire station, the Subway, and Kyocera Dome."
