What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the vibrant atmosphere and extensive selection of Pokémon merchandise at Osaka DX, especially the exclusive items and the charming Chef Pikachu plush. The friendly staff and the adjacent themed cafe add to the positive experience. However, some find the store overwhelmingly crowded and hot, with occasional difficulties in finding price tags, which can detract from an otherwise magical shopping trip.
"Visiting Pokémon Center Osaka DX was an amazing experience, especially for Pokémon fans of all ages. Located inside Daimaru Shinsaibashi, the store is bright, colorful, and full of energy the moment you step in. The displays are beautifully arranged, showcasing a wide range of exclusive merchandise including plushies, apparel, accessories, and collectibles that you won’t find anywhere else.
I loved the “Osaka DX” exclusive items and the adorable Chef Pikachu plush, which make perfect souvenirs. The staff were friendly and helpful, and they really added to the fun atmosphere of the place. Even if you’re not planning to buy much, just walking around and soaking in the excitement is worth the visit.
Overall, Pokémon Center Osaka DX is a must-visit for any Pokémon lover visiting the city. It captures the magic and nostalgia of the franchise perfectly, making it one of the most enjoyable shopping spots in Osaka."

"Knock yourself out with Pokémon merchandise at Daimaru Level 9. Rows and rows of Pokemon stuffs to buy, just be prepare for the big spending. Great for both adults & kids of Pokémon fans. There is a Pokémon themed cafe after all the shopping that you can fill your tummy."

"Disappointing experience despite friendly staff
The staff were kind and welcoming, which is the only reason I gave two stars. Unfortunately, the overall experience was extremely uncomfortable. The store was overcrowded, unbearably hot, and it was genuinely hard to breathe or move around. There’s barely any space to walk, and navigating through the crowd felt chaotic.
Around 70% of the items didn’t have visible price tags, and I had to wait nearly an hour before I could find an employee to ask for pricing. That alone made shopping frustrating and inefficient. On top of that, the merchandise wasn’t particularly special—very few exclusives, which was disappointing for a Pokémon Center.
If you're hoping for a magical or smooth shopping experience, this isn't it."
