Umekita Park is praised as a beautiful, newly developed green space offering a peaceful escape in the heart of Osaka. Visitors love its convenient location near Umeda Station, the unique elevated walkways with city views, and the relaxing atmosphere perfect for picnics and strolls. Some note that while the park itself is free, certain seasonal activities may incur costs.
"Tucked between the skyscrapers and bustling shopping streets near Umeda and Osaka Station, Umekita Park offers a refreshing green escape in the middle of the city. On our first visit, the elevated walking paths really stood out, giving us scenic views of both the park and the surrounding skyline.
When the weather is nice, the large lawn area becomes the perfect spot for a picnic, sports, or just relaxing in the sunshine. Many visitors were doing exactly that during our visit, adding to the park’s lively but laid-back atmosphere.
We were lucky enough to catch a special Pokémon event celebrating the release of the new entry in the Legends series. It turned the surrounding area into a playful adventure, and although we didn’t manage to “catch them all,” searching around the grounds was a lot of fun!"

"One of my favorite spots in Osaka! It’s just a short walk from the huge Umeda station area (JR, subway, Hankyu, Hanshin, I think). My friend in Osaka said that Umekita park is brand new and well-designed, thus we had a look.
First time I went was a weekend morning, hydrangeas in full bloom, kids playing in the fountain, families and couples everywhere. Sitting on the big lawn surrounded by skyscrapers but not feeling crowded at all was amazing.
Went back several days later on a weekday evening, and it was super chill with a nice breeze. Saw adults lying on the climbing nets meant for kids—hilarious and kind of awesome! Also, don’t miss the curved roof near the station (my friends call it the “giant bra,” which sounds weird but is interesting in real life) and the skywalk with great views. Perfect for relaxing and people-watching."
