Arrive Early for the Best Views

To truly soak in the aircraft action and potentially catch a glimpse of Mount Fuji, aim to arrive at least 2-3 hours before your flight. This gives you ample time to explore the observation deck without rushing, especially if you're hoping for sunset or evening views. TikTok+1

Terminal 1 vs. Terminal 3

While Terminal 3 offers a more expansive experience with shops and restaurants before security, Terminal 1's observation deck (Gulliver's Deck) is often quieter and provides excellent views of domestic JAL operations. Consider which terminal aligns with your flight or viewing interests. InstagramReddit

📍Haneda Airport Terminal 1 Gulliver’s deck is located at Haneda Airport Terminal 1. It’s much quieter than the observation deck at Terminal 3 where most of the international flights leave from. #haneda #hanedaairport #tokyoairport #hanedaairport✈️ #tokyo #tokyotravel

You cannot get bored in Haneda Airport 😁✈️ Aside from all the shopping and eating you can do, you can also enjoy plane spotting on the top floor’s observation decks 🙌🏼 In all Terminals (1, 2, or 3) at Haneda, you can head to level 5 where you can watch planes from all over the world landing and departing 🛫 I was mainly in Terminal 2 which was mostly (not all) ANA domestic flights ✈️ When you ar...

"One of the best airport observation deck I've ever been to. Located at the top floor of the mall in terminal 1, it's free, clean and has seats/vending machines. There are two levels with wire fences. If you got tele-lens you can definitely shoot without the wires entering the view (images i post are either 50mm or 14-24mm)."

Adrian Zhao

"Although I have arrived at Haneda Airport many times and yet this was my first visit to this observation deck. I have heard this was the place to have a great sunset photo with Fuji San in view.

They were on the floor 6 and one observation deck at both sides. They were all facing west. I checked out both and felt that north one had a better view imho.

Although I did check the time for sunset it turned out it was densely cloudy. In the end it was a great way to visit this busy JAL hub."
