Visitors praise the Saitobaru Archaeological Museum for its impressive collection of well-preserved ancient artifacts and the unique historical landscape of its surrounding burial mounds. The free entry is a significant highlight, making it an outstanding value. However, some travelers note the limited public transportation options and the scarcity of English explanations within the exhibits.

"I recently visited the archeological museum and had a fantastic experience! The location is perfect, surrounded by a beautiful setting that adds to the overall ambiance. However, I do wish there was public transportation available, as we had to walk, rent a cycle, or use a private vehicle to get there.

The museum itself is a treasure trove of ancient history, with incredibly well-preserved exhibits, including ancient bones, clay pots, and more. The collection is truly impressive and offers a fascinating glimpse into the past.

A lovely bonus is the restaurant on top, which provides a delightful spot to relax and unwind after exploring the exhibits.

Overall, I highly recommend this museum to anyone interested in history, archeology, or simply looking for a unique experience. Just be prepared for the journey there, and you'll be rewarded with a memorable visit!"

"We visited here at the end of February 2024. Unfortunately, we gave up to walk around the outside becauseofthebad weather. However, the musium was a perfect replacement for us. The inside was kept clean and tidy, and the staff were kind and friendly. It wasn't a big museum, but so much info was displayed and easy to understand. We coubelieve that it was a free entrance. There was a cafe upstairs and the handmade cheese cake was so tasty. The parking was at the bottom and needed to walk up the stairs, and we needed to be careful as it would be slippery on the rainy day. There was extra parking just beside the building but only for special needs, maternity, and elderly people."

"Fantastic spot to learn the history and sightseeing. You can use the camera as long as you don't turn on the flashlight. They have a restaurant on the 3rd floor. The scenery from the top roof is amazing!"
