What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Utoro Port for its authentic fishing harbor atmosphere and stunning natural beauty, especially the sunsets over the Sea of Okhotsk. The opportunity to witness the daily catch and the proximity to incredible wildlife tours are major highlights. Some find the winter scenery with drifting ice particularly unique and memorable.
"As a first time foreign tourist in Hokkaido and staying at the nearby Kitakobushi Shiretoko Hotel and Resort, I went for a jog this morning around Utoro town and I decided to check out in the process, the local fishing port. And I guess that I was fortunate enough when jogging through the port, one of the fishing boats in the midst of unloading its catch of marine salmon. It was indeed a sight to behold for those who are unfamiliar. And it certainly made my day here in Utoro town."
