Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about the unique experiences at Toro Nature Center, from thrilling ice fishing on Lake Toro to serene kayaking on the Kushiro River. Guides are consistently praised for their expertise and kindness, making activities accessible to all levels. The opportunity to see local wildlife and enjoy freshly prepared catches adds to the memorable visits.

"Excellent experience in the wild with their guide Mr. Masa. We were lucky to see many Hokkaido indigenous wild animals in a half day trip."

Kenny Koo

"Four of us used this facility to go smelt fishing on the ice of Lake Toro.
Although we were beginners, all the equipment and tents were provided, and with the help of an expert who showed us the ropes, we were able to enjoy ourselves right away.
At first, we had a hard time getting a bite and were worried about what would happen, but with the help of some ingenuity from the expert, we managed to catch a lot.
The smelt seem to move in schools, so once one person caught one, others would follow, which was hectic but fun.
It was a windy day, but the tent provided good wind protection and made it comfortable.
They even fried the smelt we caught, so we were treated to the ultimate treat! Thank you very much.

Above all, the view from the ice is amazing, so I recommend it."

TABI TARO

"I had the chance to try out kayaking. They were very kind and taught me how to row, which made it a valuable experience."
