Reviews Summary

Nintendo Tokyo is a highly recommended destination for fans, praised for its vast selection of exclusive merchandise and immersive, joyful atmosphere. While it can get very crowded, the efficient staff and unique offerings make it a worthwhile visit for anyone looking for a dose of Nintendo magic and memorable souvenirs.

"The Nintendo Store in Shibuya (located in the Shibuya PARCO building) is an absolute flagship experience and a pilgrimage site for Nintendo fans. Stepping inside is like jumping into a perfectly designed level from a Mario game—it’s bright, vibrant, and packed wall-to-wall with exclusive magic.
This store goes far beyond simple video games. It offers high-quality, unique merchandise for all their major franchises: from The Legend of Zelda and Animal Crossing to Splatoon and, of course, Super Mario. You’ll find everything from detailed collector's figures and Japanese-exclusive apparel to homewares and stationery you simply can't get anywhere else in the world. The atmosphere is joyous, with life-size statues and iconic music creating the perfect nostalgic backdrop.
But the real secret weapon of this store is the Gachapon (capsule machine) section! Tucked away but impossible to miss, this wall of machines is a collector's dream. I highly recommend trying your luck for the machines dispensing the miniature controller keyrings—getting a tiny, perfectly detailed replica of an N64 or Famicom controller is the best, inexpensive souvenir you can buy. It’s an easy way to spend an extra 15 minutes and leave with a pocketful of happy memories.
Whether you're shopping for gifts, souvenirs, or just want to bask in the glory of Nintendo's history and future, this store is a world-class destination. Plan to spend plenty of time here!"

"As a Nintendo fan, somehow I find this place a little underwhelming- and it really depends on your gameplay personality. most of the items here hinges only on the big 3-4 games such as Animal Crossing (never play), Splashtoon? (never play also), Zelda, DK and Mario. Merchandise wise we find it just ok - some you can easily find in anime stores in Tokyo. the only reason we came over was for the Gatcha for mini controllers! this is the niche for here."

Arthur Goh

"There is a tremendous amount of toys, clothes, games and unique items throughout. It is a total madhouse though! Hard to move through, least when I was there, the line was hugh and snaked through the store, but they are pretty efficient and they get you through fairly quick. They have an area where you can play some game and lots of photo ops with character displays. If you are a Nintendo fan, it may be a must stop."
