Reviews Summary

The Shibuya Scramble Crossing is an electrifying, must-see Tokyo icon, celebrated for its sheer scale and organized chaos. Visitors rave about the unique energy and the thrill of experiencing it firsthand, especially from elevated viewpoints. However, some find the crowds overwhelming and advise caution when navigating the intersection.

"A bustling shopping, dining and nightlife district. Lights brighter and sounds louder than the streets of Las Vegas. The amount of people day and night are just ridiculous! Waves and waves of people coming and going from all directions are suffocating. You can literally spend 2 full days and nights here and still have not explored all of it. An easy train ride from all directions. I likes the shops and tiny restaurants in the small side alleys. Bring cash, most don't accept credit cards. Food and drinks are decent not too expensive considering it is a world class tourist location. Wear good walking shoes. A must visit when in Tokyo."

Duy Le Legends - WFG

"You cannot go to Tokyo without seeing the famous Shibuya scramble crossing.
This, of course, was extremely busy as roughly 2,500 to 3,000 people can cross on a single green light, especially during peak hours. Those into Japanese car culture can also catch a few very cool rides in and around that crossing as it it a very popular spot for the locals to park up and show off their cars."

Marshall Crane

"One of the coolest experiences in Japan! We did go during the day so it wasn’t as busy but the Hachiko statue and amount of tourists was pretty busy. It is EXTREMELY HOT in August so bring an umbrella!"
