"You've sipped tea, had some great sushi, maybe even eaten a fluffy pancake... but have you experienced Taiko?! If not, you are missing out on an unbeliveable and unique experience.
I signed up for a lesson at the Shibuya location near the stadium district and highly reccomend you do the same.
Through the lesson I was taught a basic set of patterns by Sensai Moe, a highly skilled and passionate Taiko artist. We then performed the routine for other members of the studio (such fun!!!), who then played a set for me (amazing honor!!!).
Sensai Moe broke down the beats in such a way that anyone can learn, and have an amazingly fun time (and a little workout!) in the process.
Taiko for life!"

"I HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND getting a taiko lesson here. Our family of four (two hard to please teens!!!!!) took a one hour lesson and had the MOST FUN. Hiraku Inoue san was our coach/teacher. He was funny, educational and encouraging. We learned about Japanese culture and had fun drumming in unison (or at least we tried!) At the end of the lesson Hiraku san performed a taiko performance for us. He is a master!!!! Thank you, Taiko Lab!!!!! Best workshop in Tokyo for the whole family!!!!"

"Had a great time at Taiko-Lab Aoyama. The staff were very kind and accommodating (we were travelling with a 10 month old baby).
Instructor Hiraku Inoue teaches a great introductory lesson on several beats. We then put these together as a performance. We had so much fun we wanted to play more!
Hiraku Inoue san did a 10 minute performance for us at the end which was amazing.
I would highly recommend for both locals and visitors to Japan who want to try a high energy activity!"
