What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Ganmon Sea Cave for its stunning natural beauty and the unique experience of its hidden cove. The free entrance and scenic walking paths are major draws, making it a delightful stop on the Noto Peninsula. Some note that marine life is less abundant outside of summer, and parking requires a bit of strategic choice.
"Delightful experience. Especially the cave to the coast. We stopped on a drive up the Noto Peninsula, and it as a find. There are boats that will take you along the coast, but we decided to walk around some of the paths. And were happy we chose that.
One particular highlight is a going down a set of stairs into a dark cave (if you are western height, duck!) and emerging right into a tiny cove. We had the place pretty much to ourselves in spite of it being the weekend.
A couple of minor suggestions: there are three different car parks. Don't go for the small one right next to the road but choose one of the other two. Set aside 30 minutes to an hour and walk around the area. It's a good place to stretch your legs and take in some beautiful nature if you are driving around the Noto. Also, if you are coming from the south, the first road towards Ganmon is likely closed, but just head 300 metres up the road and you can drive right down to it from there."

"Nice place to visit. Quite distant but the nature is great. It is possible to make boat trip for 1100Y. There is a passage through rock massive which is interesting. Restaurant and souvenir shop also at the place. Very nice view of the sea and mountains beyond."

"Very good place for snorkeling or diving.
I dove here on November 1st I think. It was fine with an 3mm wetsuit. But less sea creatures as in the summer months.
Anyway, highly recommended if you like diving or snorkeling and if you are in the area!"
