What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Aomono Yokocho is praised for its authentic, retro atmosphere and delicious local eateries, particularly izakayas and yakiniku spots. Visitors enjoy the lively nightlife and unique snack bar experiences. However, some reviews mention challenges with language barriers and potentially disrespectful staff at the train station, which is separate from the dining establishments.
"Bad service. The people who work there are very disrespectful, they yell at you and they don’t speak English. I highly don’t recommend this station if you’re visiting Japan i would never go in there again. I was disrespected and no help at all, they will yell and scream at you for not understanding while they are not even explaining or speaking in English. The workers are all disrespectful I went there multiple times and everytime I walk out of there disrespected. Worst station in Japan in my experience."
