"i found that the female staff around the store were kind and helpful. male staff at the cash register could be friendlier. as i paid i decided to use my ¥5000 note even though my total came up to ¥940. the male cashier then looked into my wallet and pointed at my ¥1000 note. i spoke in english to try and explain i wanted to break down the note. then i found his expression was cold, scary and judgmental. perhaps its because im a foreigner, i understand the bad stigma around tourists but the customer service could be better."
