Reviews Summary
Rokunen Yonkumi is celebrated for its incredibly unique and nostalgic elementary school classroom theme, offering an immersive and fun izakaya experience. Visitors rave about the unlimited snack bar and interactive elements like pop quizzes, though some note that ordering main dishes is required and English communication can be a bit challenging at times.
"A very fun concept for an izakaya. It is decorated as a traditional Japanese classroom. You sit at desks surrounded by blackboards, kids art work, and backpacks. The seating charge is 600 yen, but comes with a small shopping basket that you can take to the snack corner. You can eat as many chocolates, chips, and crackers as you want. You call the waiters "sensei" or "teacher". During your meal they will also hand out a pop quiz (in English or Japanese) with questions to answer. It was a very fun experience."

"Really fun concept. We didn't book in advance but they did have space a bit later in the night. English wasn't the best but staff were still very friendly and accomodating. Locals seemed to love it so it must've been really similar to their classrooms.
They didn't explain it that clearly but basically entrance is 600 yen but with it comes unlimited sweets and chocolates. You also have to order two main meals each but they do count a lot of the small meals as mains. Food was quite good.
They came with a pop quiz for maths halfway through our meal which was in English. They gave us prizes for scoring 100% as well.
Make sure to do the lucky prize draw thing for 100 yen near reception. We got a free main but since we had already paid our bill they gave us a huge packet of sweets to take away."
