"A lake surrounded by nature, it makes you wonder if such a hidden place exists in Aichi Prefecture.
Kamisakiiwa looks strange when viewed from the prefectural road just west of this pin.
The towering rock wall, which seems to be made of a single rock, is more impressive than the rock wall seen from Horaiji Temple in this area.
This lake seems to be man-made, and during the drought three years ago, a wooden bridge could be seen from the bottom of the lake just below Kamisakiiwa, making the dry lake a fascinating place as well.
I didn't check whether I could go around the lake, but at the Horai Lake Campground on the north side, there is a T-shaped intersection where you can go left or right.
If you go right, the paved forest road continues for a while, and you can see a cove-like location on the edge of the lake and go out to Tochigizawa.
If you go left, the paved forest road continues with the stream on your right, and the map shows that it is a road that can access the prefectural road, but I didn't check it and the sun went down.
There were few people around in either place, and as the autumn leaves are at the end of their autumn season, there are no chirps of insects or birdsong, and the soundless silence is truly soothing.
