Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise the Nihondaira Ropeway for its spectacular views of Mt. Fuji and Suruga Bay, calling the ride scenic and fun. The convenience of accessing the historic Kunozan Toshogu Shrine is a major plus. However, many note that the gondolas can become very crowded, leading to significant wait times, especially during peak periods.

"Riding the Ropeway is very fun and scenic. The views are fantastic!

It was very crowded and took 30+ minutes to get on the Ropeway to go down to the shrine and then another 30+ minute wait to get back up. The gondola you ride in is very crowded."

Will Gausman

"If you are planning to visit Kunozan Toshoku, you may need to go thru this ropeway. The ropeway usually takes almost 10-20 minutes. And only the cable car is running. However, not too many people, so it is spacy and comfy. The price of the around ticket is pretty expensively, in my opinion. However, I strongly recommend going to visit Kunozan if you come to visit Nihondaira."

Jeon San

"it's the only way to visit the shrine. only about 5mins journey that went through the mountains and valley, great scenic view. the operator gave a brief introduction to the places throughout the journey. the cable car is spacious and could carry i think 20 people? it wasn't a busy time when i got there so could move freely in the car and watched around like 360 degree. very pleasant journey."
