"This is the only train station in the world that can reach the lowest station. 🚉 It's serviced by a cable car, with a total distance of 778 meters!
As the "World's Longest Undersea Tunnel Memorial Museum," it's also been selected as one of the 100 Best Train Stations in Tohoku! It really gave me a real sense of how, back then, they built the tunnel by hand, overcoming countless obstacles through trial and error. I feel like I got to see the wisdom and determination of the Japanese people.
The tour lasted about 40 minutes! The guide talked, but you'll have a hard time hearing what they have to say unless you're at the front of the group (the tour has limited flexibility).
