"Such a charming area with well-preserved traditional buildings, local crafts, and specialty food shops. It was nice to stroll through the streets, take photos, and pop into the various shops.

There are quite a few sake breweries here too, you can easily spot them by the fluffy cedar ball (sugidama) hanging at their entrance. Also noticed several shops selling miso products, which are worth checking out.

Do note that most shops close quite early, around 5pm, so it’s best to come in the early afternoon if you want to fully experience the area. After that, the streets become much quieter which is nice to take photos.
